The South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau (SYFAB) is a voluntary organisation and registered charity, established to help community and voluntary organisations find useful information about funding, learn the skills to become a successful fundraised and get specific help with funding.

Our solution

Illuminaries have worked with SYFAB for a number of years now, building their first Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) as an internal office application built around Microsoft Access and SQL Server. Later developments included an online funding search engine allowing visitors to the site to perform quick, targeted searches for suitable funding providers.

In 2012, SYFAB contacted Illuminaries about reconciling and updating all their existing systems into a new, more user friendly, comprehensive website, packed with useful information and tools for organisations searching for funding.

The new website is built around Microsoft.NET and SQL server technologies and integrates with MailChimp – an email marketing and list manager, and PayPal for online payment.

Targetted mailing

Integration with third-party mailing software to send targetted emails to SYFAB users.

Event Booking

Booking engine to sell tiered pricing tickets to SYFAB hosted events.

Customer records

A single point of reference for all client related information.

Operational reporting

Numerous reports to monitor activity across the site for the public and SYFAB staff.
